Privacy Policy

FanHub 2026 ("we", "our", "the service") is a fan engagement platform for predicting football matches. We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to deliver the service.

1. Information we collect

You give us directly

• Account details — username, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash; we never see your plain password)
• Profile choices — avatar emoji, privacy preference
• Predictions — your match picks, used to calculate points and leaderboard position
• Payment info — if you subscribe to Premium, payment details are handled by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (international). We only store a transaction reference, not your card numbers.

Collected automatically

• Device info — browser type, approximate location (IP-based, used only to route payments to the right gateway)
• Usage — which matches you predicted, when you logged in (for security and rank calculation)
• Push token — if you opt in to notifications, we store a token from your device's push service

2. How we use your information

• Run the prediction game, award points, build the leaderboard
• Process Premium subscriptions and deliver the benefits
• Send push notifications about matches and your rank (only if you opt in)
• Detect cheating (multiple accounts, suspicious activity)
• Respond to support requests

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share limited info with these service providers only as needed:

• Razorpay — for Indian payment processing (their policy)
• Stripe — for international payments (their policy)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — for push notifications
• football-data.org — we fetch public match data from them; they don't receive any user info
• Hosting provider — server logs may include IP addresses

We may disclose data if legally required (court order, regulatory request).

4. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your login session, preferences, and remind you to enable notifications. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Children

FanHub 2026 is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, please use the service with permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has registered, contact us.

6. Your rights

You can:

• View — see all your data via your profile
• Update — change your username, avatar, privacy setting
• Delete — email us to delete your account. We'll erase your data within 7 days (some payment records retained for tax purposes by law)
• Export — request a copy of your data in JSON format
• Opt out — disable push notifications anytime in your browser/device settings

7. Data retention

Active accounts are kept indefinitely. Inactive accounts (no login for 24 months) are anonymized. Payment records are retained for 7 years for tax compliance.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) and never store passwords in plain text. We can't promise absolute security, but we take reasonable precautions.

9. International users

Our servers are located in India. By using FanHub, you consent to your data being processed there. For EU users: we treat all users as if GDPR applies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice in the app or by email. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
